Located in the heart of MidTown, Clubview is proud to be the only MCSD elementary school authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the Primary Years Programme. With a focus on the total growth of the developing child, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) encourages students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals, and engaged world citizens. Clubview educators collaborate to promote high academic growth through lessons encompassing state standards that lead the students to explore the world through six globally significant themes of inquiry. Clubview offers art, music, Spanish, and PE every week to all K-5 students. In addition to the many classroom teachers who hold gifted certification, Clubview is home for two full-time gifted teachers who serve the state identified population on site 3-5 days a week. All teachers plan around themes of inquiry to ensure that all students are involved in a transdisciplinary approach to learning. The annual, school-wide IB exhibition is a celebratory display of evidence of student action which centered around a single area of global concern identified by students and the actions they took to impact change in the community. We maintain high expectations for all students and depend on well-established parent/teacher/student relationships and responsibility for the betterment of each child. Outside the classroom, Clubview students have the opportunity to be involved in many extra-curricular clubs and activities to include the school play, archery, broadcasting, tennis, manners club, book club and many more. Students have opportunities to represent Clubview in various academic competitions throughout the year. As a school rich in tradition and history, Clubview proudly holds many honors and continues to shine as a leader in MCSD and the world of IB! Come explore the world at Clubview!
